oil pan problems!

Default oil pan problems!

sup HT! its me again.well just wanted to say that i have a little problem with my da integra.....well am leaking a little bit of oil from my oil pan bolt.and its weird BC its a new oil pan bolt ,i had to change it not to long ago.the leak is not that bad,but i just want it fix.if the threads are bad from the oil pan,is there any way i can fix it without changing oil pan.i want that to be my last resort lol.any way i can put some kinda of sill or new bolt??.really would appreciate it if ya could help me

try using a nylon washer between the pan and bolt. or 2 of them even

and the only way to repair a stripped drain hole, that i'm aware of, is to weld on a new bung. however, because the drain plug consists of a slightly softer metal than the pan threads, the drain plug usually strips first. although **** does happen

i never tried that.iv tried rapping it.but it still leaks.what if i get one of thews bolts that expand when u put them in and tighten it....that's what somebody said i can use.iv never heard of them lol

yea iv heard that as well.and yes **** does happen

Might be able to get an oversize bolt made especially for this type of thing. When installed it rethreads the bung on the pan to the new size. I know these are used in other applications, not sure they are made for these. good luck

that is what am gonna prob end up doing.i just don't know were to fined them.prob Google. lol.

if you're basically suggesting running a tap, i don't think that's such a great idea in an oil pan

see that was gonna be my last resort.bc my oil pan is perfect other then strip were the bolt goes.
