b18c1(95 gsr motor) in a 95 accord 2dr??
I have found a killer deal on a 95 gs-r swap ($1400 complete)
I have 95 accord ex 2door 5spd
How hard will it be to swap this motor in my car??
Will it improve performance or is my accord too heavy?
I really want to buy it but I would like some advice from you guys
thanks, btw I tried a search and found nothing so pls do not flame me

Will it improve performance or is my accord too heavy? Not even close. You need to torque to move your Accord. That motor has nothing.

if you think 130hp/145 ft lbs in your accord sucks your will to live....
try 150-160hp (be realistic.. its not a new engine) and about 100-105ft lbs ... ouch.

so swaping a gsr motor into my car will actually make me slower than having my normal accord EX motor....? due to my car being 600 pounds heavier than a gs-r?
doesn't the extra 25 hp make up for the loss of like 15 ft/lb of torque

maybe it hasnt been broken down for you ...
without serious custom engine mounts and CV axel weirdness this swap is near impossible. You'd spend a whole lot more money to make it work (with shitty results) than if you just got a H22A or H23A1.
If you want a B series powered accord buy a 3rd gen.
find a 3G with a smoked motor/tranny, get it cheap, drop in the B18 and sell it. or drive it.
I'm almost thinking of doing this to make a 'winter beater' with some pep. it would be dirt cheap to find a used up tired 3G and use a SiR1 B16A thats like 800
hey, ill buy that motor for 1400+ if you wanna sell it, then you just save a couple hunny and youve got yourself an h22. or a turbo... email me if interested...
to b honest, an h22 for ur 95 is a much better engine for ur car b/c ur car is heavy. i have been lookin 4 a gsr (for a good deal), so if u can pleaze let me know anythin my email is Hatchbeezy17@aol.com. i'm tryin to do the swap in a 88 accord hatchback

Go into the classifieds section and post a willing to buy (WTB) thread looking for a b18c1. This is the accord forum. GSR motors usually arent our interest as 3g accord enthusiasts are rare around here. Thanks.
1. the accord is not 600 lbs heavier than a GSR...damn people...
its at most 300 lbs, but 300 lbs is still a lot.
2. an H22 longblock costs $1300 shipped, you need that and an ECU and you'll have a much faster car.
3. a stock gsr isn't much faster than your car right now. With a few bolt on's your car should run a high 15 in the 1/4...
the gsr runs a 15.5-15.8 in stock form with a good driver.
4. not only does the motor have no torque, it will not drop into your engine bay, you would need custom mounts that just don't exist. and then i guarantee you will run a 17 second 1/4 mile with that engine in a stock weight 5th gen ex.
5. if you want to buy the motor, buy a 92 hatchback, drop it in, and run an easy low 14...and be happy.

I was under the impression that the integras were down around 2400 lbs.
3000-2400=600
correct me if I am wrong.
thanks for all the info guys....needless to say I will not be purchasing the gsr swap..my buddy is buying it for his hatch instead
is it true that all I need is an h22 longblock?? I though I needed a whole swap?
is a longblock really only 1300 shipped? if so, then where the hell do I buy it?
thanks for having patience with my dumbass questions
