Default EK9 race car out of hibernation

Well had my car off the road for the last 12 weeks due to the snow then carrying out alot of work on it

What can i say, it's bonkers to drive now, really is! I say race car in the title as that's just what it feels like, haha

Up to date spec below with a few camera phone pics, better ones to come once i get hold of an SLR, off to be mapped by Henry Roy on Crome in a couple weeks as I sold the Spoon ECU

standard engine
P28 ECU tuned on Crome by Henry Roy (begining of march)
Moroso baffled sump
oem honda N1 crank pulley
innovative 75A engine mounts
lower torque mounts removed
ngk blue leads
taper ported TB
coolant lines bypassed from TB
Mugen intake
Short jap Hamp filter
koyo full width radiator
samco radiator hoses
heatwrapped fujitsubo manifold
spoon b-pipe
spoon n1
spoon oil cap
spoon radiator cap

headlight looms tucked in inner wings
engine bay fully repainted
Proper breather with PCV system removed

Haha!

As mentioned, off the road for winter, surprisingly on R888 it's no good in the snow

Engine wise i'm still planning on keeping it standard for reliability, with the map and short gears it should be plenty fast. The N1 coilovers i just had overhauled are phenomenal, can't wait to get it on track again

This was taken before i fitted the inner eyebolts properly through the exhaust tunnel with spreader plates



Cheers guys

Spring rates are huge yeah, but the dampers are such good quality that it is bearable to drive it on the street

First track outing is on March 19th at Knockhill, will be back to the Nurburgring first week of July too
