Default quick wire tuck "yes/no" question

i have a quick question

will changing wire length cause any undesired problems with the way the car runs

example if i shortened the cabin harness to make it as minimal as possible with all the fuse boxes and ecu in one location rather than in multiple places under the dash....

ive searched and really all i need to know is yes or no if anyone wants to elaborate on their answer im fine with that as well...

my answer to that would be NO!...only problem you might run into is if you accidently wire it back up incorrectly.

Only thing you really wan't to avoid is lengthening wires, especially those that run to sensors. The extra length increases the amount of noise the wire will radiate/recieve and can throw sensor readings out. Another consideration is the added resistance which may effect sensors.

But shortening a wire in most cases will have no effect.

I was working on the fact that the OP wants to consolidate all the cabin electronics, which implys there is some considerable length changes.
