so ive been having this problem with my 91 si hatch. lately the headlights arent turning on! dash lights..parking lights..headlights..all are out. i have done no wiring to interior harness to cause problems. seems to only happen once in awhile. i have swapped out the light switch to no avail. one time i said fck it and just started driving and they came on. last night after leaving a bar they didnt work so i stopped at a friends house nearby for a bit and about an hour later when i went to leave they worked again..WTF this is really annoying.

 

that sucks u wana make sure u have lighting when your drinking and driving

 

buzzed driving is drnk driving! yeahh i know im a bad boy... buut anywho i still need headlights to drive at night even sober lol. i hate electrical prob

 

i have the exact problem , i remember having this problem on my old hatch and it was the the light think (left side on steering wheel columns , to turn on the lights and turn signals , don't know the correct name lol) if i recall

 

ive replaced the switch

uuhh yes. thatd def be the one. the switch that turns on the headlights...dashlights..parking lights...

 

have u checked your grounds and all the connections?

 

well that's not the right switch that you need to replace

 

if im missing something please let me know. what other switch controls the headlights?

 

i already told you ,the left side turn signal thingy on the steering wheel column

 

i have replaced this already. its the only light switch there is, this is what i meant the first time. not the dimmer control.. replaced the entire assembly, wiper control and all.. still have no lights periodically
