I may be buying a CRX soon and I'd like to replace a bunch of parts so I can get it on a routine maintenance schedule.

I'll be buying from Rock Auto since they have great prices, but what brand should I buy if I want to keep it as stock as possible?

Just looking at a water pump, I see; A-1 CARDONE, CARDONE Select, GATES, AIRTEX, ACDELCO, BECK/ARNLEY, and BOSCH.

I apologize for being such a newb, but it's my first CRX (not to mention car!).

 

Honda= best oe parts...

Most of the autozone/advance parts I've used lasted at least a year....Except for axles DON'T BUY THEIR AXLES..... But since they're local the life-time warranties end up being really useful, just replace as the part dies, which they usually do.

Great, I'll do that then.

It means I'll have to do the repairs at half the rate but at least I'll have the peace of mind that I'm doing it right.

 

For a water pump dont skimp out use OEM HONDA and use a gates/Honda Timing belt.

Lifetime warranty, but it's crap! I bought some brakes and I'm never making that mistake again..
