93 DA seat belt issue!!! who's got knowledge?
Ok my driver's side power seat belt is stuck forward. Dont think its the control module because the other side works. Lets get this started shall we:
1st time: Seat belt quit, stayed forward, constant fast beeping (probably because the shoulder belt was not clipped in) thought it was heat related because after it got warm it worked.
2nd time: belt stayed forward, moved briefly but went back forward. now i have intermittent beeping(fast like belt is unclipped and like door is open!!)
leads me to belive that its the door switch
My question: How can i apply power to the belt manually? i figure i can get the belt in the back position and pull the fuse for now but need some insight!
somebody help a brotha out!!!!!

Easy there smart guy. take a look to the left. See that? it says TRIAL MEMBER. Since youve posted over 16k times im pretty sure you know that means im fresh to the site. Thanks for the search suggestion.............
now thats some helpful info! Saw it a few places on the net but didn't know if it only applied to the belt part not the actual motors and control units. So if I'm understanding you correctly the entire restraint system is covered?
Well, there should be a hole at the base of the pillar above where lap belt comes from. Now idk if you can use any tool, but my 1990 DB1 and I'm pretty sure my 92 DA9 both have the hole (I'll go check after I post this) Now in the hole, there should be some kind of piece where it looks like you can twist, it needs a tool not sure if it needs a special tool to spin it or not. My 1990 integra still has the tool somehow, surprised it wasn't lost by now lol. That is the manual way to move your belt. Try that to see if you can move it to the back so you can at least have a proper seat belt. lol
Hopefully this helps you.

Take it to the dealer or call first. If any problems take it to corporate, it is a safety issue. Let us know how it comes out.
Yes I believe so, according to others that have posted about the seat belts, they are covered for the lifetime of the vehicle. Provided they have not been altered, abused, in an accident etc.

Ok heres the scoop. In that access hole is the belt motor. I grabbed an allen wrench as was able to manually retract the belt. Pulled the fuse and now it stays back. Monday im calling the dealership for warranty coverage!!!!! Thanks for the help guys!!!
Sweet! Glad to help man!
It would have been a diff. story if you had said you had actually searched and not found anything that was a help.
I have as many posts as I do because I do not mind helping if I can, but it is getting to the point that we are spoon feeding some of you.
Even a simple Google search would have got you the info you needed... http://www.google.ca/search?sourceid...+belt+problems "smart guy" 94
So what, does that mean you did not read the stickies at top of the form, or just not care?
