how could my new timing belt snap?

Icon2 how could my new timing belt snap?

ok, today i was driving down the freeway and my 2 month old gate racing timing belt snap on me. what could cause my timing belt to snap? just got my car back from the shop with new piston in it.

man, sorry to hear that. that sucks. Did you have a shop put it in for you? If so then it was faulty workmanship, take it back

Could've been too tight.. Do you have your timing cover on still? Something could've hit it or something accidentally left inside the cover?

yea, the shop resemble everything back together. but how could the timing snap?

yea, just put back the timing cover on yesterday. maybe it was because of that. before the timing belt snap my rpm alway drop drown low everytime my car come to a stop. i clean my throttle and has brand new spark plug and same problem.
