ok so i just bought this 89 civic hatch dx for 200 bucks. i bought a jdm b16a to put in it but someone told me that for a dx you half to wire a lot more stuff because you half to change the harness from dpfi to mpfi or something like that. is this true? if so where is a good place to get wiring harness from?

 

Yes you need an Si harness. If you have an auto wrecker near you, grab one from there. A new harness from a place like Rywire will cost you about what you paid for the car I think...

This of course is on top of everything else you have to do for that swap (mounts, linkage, obd0->obd1, etc)

 

Do not get an Si harness it will not match your chassis harness.
The best way to do it is to convert your harness or get one ready made from someone reliable.
