Default Exhaust Upgrade Advise

Okay so Ive had two cat-backs on my car already. Both were Greddy Evo2 , however first one rotted out, and the current one is in the Process. (GREDDY SUCKS) . OKay so now im considering replacing the muffler, and no longer want a big tip, looks rice to me now. I was looking into the magnaflow and borla mufflers, watched a few youtube vids, but it seems some tend to rasp at high rpms. I definitely dont want that. Looking for an exhaust that sounds similar to the evo2, yet doesnt have a huge tip. Any advise? recommendations? vids of your exhaust?

p.s. i have a 98 coupe, w/ b16a2

Lol funny you mentioned that because those two are exactly what i just started looking into. But their a bit more pricey. Wanna see what the magnaflow and borla crowd have to say

vibrant. street power stealth.
most videos on youtube too i've noticed are with test pipes and no resonators. which will always cause a raspiness somewhere.

haha right as i post it you say that.

I love the sound of a WS2 with a good cat. So sweet.

If the greddy has rotted out twice now why would you consider another greddy exhaust?

Also, maybe you should think about getting an exhaust that's got a coating on it. Perhaps the salty winter roads are what's destroying your metal exhaust.

My friend has the same evo2 on his rsx and his is perfect. For some reason the civic ones were designed poorly, because it rots from the inside, due to running rich i guess.

i got a HKS HI-Power its coated exhaust and will not rust out and i Love it.... he just said greddy sucks and rots out why would he return to get another one? if u put another exhaust on i would coat the exhaust piping in paint or something to keep it from rusting out if its not coated already.

y is your name "apexi_rsx" yet u have an hks exhaust? And if you read the previous posts, u can see why i say that. There was no way i couldve prevented it from rotting other than not driving it or running a stock setup.

Will do, just kinda got moved up on my priority list today because my skunk2 short shifter I just installed hits my heat shield occasionally. You can't really hear it if the cars on but it still bugs the hell out of me.
