Default Electrical Problem

I have a 96 honda civic DX coupe, the cluster, turning signals and hazards some times work and some times dnt. I know its not the cluster cuz I already replaced it and the problem persists. The turning signals and hazards also fail to work from the outside. The head lights fliker from time to time and some times turn off completely.

Have you checked fuses/relays? Also could be turn signal switch. Are the gauges working ok since the replacement? Maybe just quickly check for damaged wires for headlights.

When you say cluster, do you mean the gauges, back lights, or warning lights?
Make your descriptions as specific as possible.

When I say cluster I mean everything the backlight the gauges, the cluster is dead and only comes on when it wants to. However the hazards always work even if the cluster is dead. The outside turn signals only work when they want to. The ecu isn't under the dash on the passanger side, any idea where else it can be?

I know when the cluster is working because my check engine and SRS lights r always on due to no O2 sensor and no airbags.

OP, was this car stolen and the dash was trashed?

1) Pull the hazard lights switch out of the dash and check whether its connector is not fully seated. Also inspect the connector and switch terminals for damage.

2) Do the same for the cluster connectors and combination light switch connectors.

Yes the car was stolen and the dash was replaced. I found a cable under the dash that was ripped I just wired knot it and it worked.

Thats your problem right there you have some loose connections, try to get back to those wires and solder them up.
