Default jdm b18b dizzy question

I am having problems getting my crx to run right. The dizzy that's on there has broken teeth for the cam position sensor. My question is can I use an obd0 dizzy from another non vtec b18 like 90-93 ls or does it have to be from the b18b?

The plugs will be different, as I'm guessing you've converted your OBD0 harness to work with an OBD1 or 2 dizzy for the b18b?

the sensor is different in obd1/2 when compared to obd0 so if you did swap out parts they would need to be from either an obd1 or 2 distributor.

OBD is on board diagnostics

1991 and prior is OBD0

92-95 is obdI

96-98 is OBDIIA

99+ is OBDIIB

The B18B comes in OBDI OBDIIA and OBDIIB setups, all with different plugs, but the same internally

As to wht motor you have, find out the year, it's pretty simple, plus what year is your car

The motor swap was done by the previous owner so I'm not sure what year the motor is but I have a 1989 crx.

Ok so the motor is out of a 93 so its obd1 with the jumper harness to an obd0 pr4 ecu. I'm guessing that means I can't use an obd0 dizzy right?

The PR4 ecu comes in both OBD0 and OBDI. If it is converted to OBDI, you will have the matching ecu and distributor. The distributor is easy to identify if it is the newer OBDI style, as it will have 2 gray plugs coming out of it.

It it has the round milky white connector, the car is still running OBD0. You wouldn't need a jumper harness for this
