Yes, buy them if they are in your price range. I was trying to get a tire under 50 so I went with the hankooks but for 10 more, get the UHP.

They are 65 a piece at tirerack for 195/50/15. Not sure what size you are running but what are you looking for in a tire?

best dirt cheap tire i have tried for all out performance is the federal 595, it's a cheap $50 tire but should outperform the above mentioned. the 280 treadwear and just amount of rubber on the ground is 98% of why

 

Weres a good place to get those from?

OP, what size are you looking for? In my size, I haven't found any 595 under 65. 195/50/15

 

im going to run 195/55 or 50/15. I was thinking about 205 but people were telling me not to. i also have only got 1 response on how good the generals are.

 

i had 205 ecsta xs. I needed a cheap DD tire to replace and went with the hankooks.(under 50) dz101 or the uhp are what I would get for the 50/15. The other two can be had for 65ish a piece either or.

Honestly man, I doubt you'd tell the difference either way.

 

In my own tests of that tire, I found to be quite responsive in the wet and having good hydroplaning resistance. Handling in the dry suffers a bit in comparison to other tires in the category, though. And they do produce noticeable tread noise.
