Icon7 EG HATCH BUILD from bone stock

ok iv built a few of these cars but this will be my first time to share my build in a thread. long story short iv been trying to get my hands on this car for the past 3 years i finally found it again and bought it now that it was for sell "after bugging the owner" its a 92 civic hatchback that is 110% all original as you will see in the pictures below never been touched other then the rims.

im gonna take pictures as I go and post them as I go. im going to repaint it completly inside and out put a full suspension on it and the works. I do have a fully built b16a in another thread for sale to work on this car but if it does not sale it will be going in the hatch as well.

any way keep an eye on my build im gonna try to make it nasty from a full wire tuck n shave. A complete tear down and build up.

BUDGET SO FAR is $1100 for the car
$150 for carbon wing
$120 for carbon mirrors
$210 for dual beam HID kit with 10000K bulbs
$110 new black housing headlights and amber corners
$100 new 50/50 tail lights
$850 new rims n tires

I already have the complete suspension skunk2 and kyb spent a **** load on it from my last build that got totaled you might see it in the background

THE FRONT OF THE HATCH

FRONT DRIVER SIDE

FRONT PASSENGER SIDE

REAR DRIVER SIDE

REAR PASSENGER SIDE

my last built was a fully built GSR swap all nicey under the hood and i have a built b16 type r swap but im selling it here in another thread because this time around im just gonna do the d16z6 out of my other "3rd" hatch that i wrecked and go for show. in the next week or so im gonna have it sprayed with candy. im gonna do a full wire tuck and shave under the hood complete interior swap "maybe" the wrecked on has dark grey interior but it doesent matter im gonna have it all done as well and then im gonna do some minor engine mods like intake TB cold air and boost it. I already have the turbo kit and every thing i need just lack the paint and the start of the strip down

what do you all think go with the dark grey almost black interior or keep what its got? the plastics and dash door panels are all black on bottom with dark crey seats n carpet. or keep what in it?

the dark interiors rear plastics are cracked up now due to the wreck and a few of the rear pieces are blue and the interior in the car is minty? however im swapping the front seats for sure they are gsr seats.

Hey guys sorry its been a while since I posted been busy with work and the family thing along with trying to squeeze in time for the hatch. Any way i did finally get all my parts in and i got the motor pulled out and the suspension swapped over so im going to post a few picks for you all and also tell you a little more about what going to happen next.

I was going to just clean up the engine bay wire tuck it wash n wax it and bring it back to a shine but instead i decided to paint it " the whole car" that way it will have a super clean paint job inside and out. next week im going to start on the wire tuck and filing in all the unnecessary holes in the engine bay and get it all ready for the paint then im going to move to the body and get it ready for paint.

I still have not sold the built type R so if anyone is interested LMK im getting rid of it for pennies compared to what its actually worth to help me on my build. Iv decided to stick with my d16z6 out of my wrecked hatch because i get 55mpg with it and im gonna be hittin a lot of shows this year and want something to be dependable enough to drive across the map lol.

any way lets get to the "EYE CANDY"

THE NEW 10000K SUPER BLUE HID KIT

THE NEW BLACK HOUSING HEADLIGHTS WITH AMBER CORNERS

THE NEW SPOON CARBON FIBER MIRRORS

THE SUSPENSION SWAPPED FROM MY WRECKED HATCH
consist of skunk2 coilovers and upper camber control arms SPC rear camber kit and KYB adj shocks GSR rear disk break conversion and drilled and slotted front rotors

THE ENGINE BAY AFTER PULLING THE MOTOR "soon to be fully tucked n shaved"

AND THIS IS THE HATCH HOW IT SITS NOW

and last but not least this is the color im going to paint it. its called true blue Perl and its a polyurethane paint so its super durable and i also got a polyurethane true blue sealer primer so if the car gets a scratch or a nick in it it wont be as noticeable because the primer will be the same color as the paint plus the car is already a dark blue to begin with. hopefully it will be ready to be sprayed within the next couple of weeks.

I just orderd the paint stuff and a brand new F1 stage 3 clutch so it should be in sat or mon but as soon as it gets in ill get some pics and get them posted for ya. Well thats it for now guys thanks for following and i look forward to the comments, thoughts and any ideas you feel like throwing out there. until next time lets keep the hatches alive and party like a rock star

Alrighty guys another week another post just finished striping the whole car to nothing to perform a wire tuck "the right way" and get her ready for paint. iv got a little more wiring to do to finish up the hid kit tuck and then its off to the body work which is just a few door dings here and there. So before any one asks what the circles are on the car that where there are little door dings.

ok now off to the pictures.

front passanger side

front driver side

engine bay stripped and ready for the tuck n shave

the rear of the cars view after stripping it and installing my bumper that will house the golden eagle rear bumper diffuser

The front interior of the car now stripped

fully tucked engine bay. will start on the shave as soon as I get all the wiring done

how I tucked the driver side coming out of the cab area

and where the wires now come out on the driver side

and now where the engine wiring now is exposed to plugged into the engine wiring harness

comments comments comments bring em my way.

Alright back with another update and some more pics even know NO ONE seems interested in my build thats alright im gonna keep posting anyway.

for those of you who do keep an eye on it let me know what you are thinking.I also got my paint in for the car, the color looks alot better in person so just wait till i paint the car. I have welded every hole up that I will not be using and grinded them all smooth and now have it to a state where i need to sand the body filler to give it a clean shaved smooth look.

so here are the pics

HERE IS THE PAINT KIT

HERE IS THE PAINT OPEN

HERE IS THE DRIVER SIDE WELDED UP AND GRINDED DOWN

HERE IS THE PASSENGER SIDE WELDED UP AND GRINDED DOWN

HERE IS THE ENGINE BAY READY TO BE SMOOTHED OUT

well ill be back next week with another post and more pictures
