Best suspension for 06+ Civic Si?
Well hopped out the old game and now into the new game. Got a new 2011 Si Coupe coming in late next week. Just curious what seems to be the most popular and best suspension for these new chassis? I almost got the HFP kit but it just isn't low enough for me.
I am running Buddy Club Race Spec on an 06 SI... I love em, performance wise they are top notch and comfort... well they are coilovers... they arent meant to be comfy...
I added the progress rear anti sway bar to my 06, I couldn't believe how different the car did feel after just that one improvement.
My car was old as in 100K miles, I did put on a set of KYB shocks and struts with not much difference in the car, but the bar made all the difference.
I made sure I took the bar off the car before I sold it, the whole kit is up for grabs if your interested I paid 225 with shipping I will take 150 plus ship.

Well after much thought and cycling through enough before and after pictures. I called the dealer and had them add the HFP suspension to my buyers order when the car comes in. Some pics you can see the drop and some it's very hard to distinguish the difference. But everybody says it's much more noticeable in person. With some bigger tires, or going with 18" wheels I can close it up a little more.
Plus with me adding it on delivery, its covered under my 3year/36k mile warranty.

Good on the HFP's. I had to remove mine due to increased noise from the front suspension set -up. As as soon as I put back on the original set-up, the noise stopped. Maybe my set was just a fluke.

This setup is one of our most popular setups both here in the USA and Internationally. We make this setup for a lot of our customers in the Philippines as well as Singapore. We have been doing this for 6 years, and back our dampers up with a lifetime warranty. We have never had a blown damper in 6 years, and also use the best springs on the market today by Hyperco. The springs also carry a lifetime warranty
Our setups are made to order, and built specifically for our customers needs.
One of our Singapore customers who has the same chassis posted a review on k20a.org, and he has gone through atleast 2-3 sets of dampers which have failed on him. He not only daily drives his car, but races it as well.

Due to the increased popularity of this chassis for us we've started to stock as many parts for it to get them out as quickly as possible. At this time we have enough parts to put atleast 1 or 2 sets together. The reason why our dampers are very popular overseas is the proven durability. Most if not all our customers are clients in which have had other brands fail on them, and some of them well known US brands. The cost of shipping is not cheap when it comes to fixing such failures. So they have chose us to put together something for them that they know will last since we have proven our durability as well as performance. The link above is to the review from my customer in Singapore, and we should have another review in the archives from one of our first Civci Si customers here in the USA. Have a good one guys!

You confused me lol do you mean the HFP setup incresed noise from the front suspension setup? And original meaning you took out the HFP set and put in the regular Si suspension?
and driving like an *** on the road is not racing.
Looking at a set of Enkei PF01s in 17x8.5, maybe in 8" wide and was wondering if they will fit or if I'll have rubbing issues with the HFP setup?
17x8" will be +35, 8.5" will be +40. Would like to run a 235/45 tire.

I'm trying to decide what to get myself. I definitely don't want to slam the car, I just want to close that gap up in the wheel well. I have 17x9 -25 wheels on the car now with the stock tires stretched. I was told about coilover sleeves, but it appears that no one makes them for my model and year yet. Then I will increase the camber to tuck the wheels in bit more.
I have an 08 si and when I got it the first thing I did was lower it on skunk 2 springs. My car still drives great and the drop isnt bad for the price. After a while tho you will be upset its not slammed... or maybe thats just me.
Best handling for the money is hfp hands down. If you just care about looks get springs that will give you the desired drop. No point in buying coilovers to dump your car because it's not neccesarily going to help the handling, so u might as well buy springs and save the money.
Anybody got any feedback for Megas Racing street coilovers? I have a 11 Si sedan. I'm not gonna be racing, just daily driving. Don't want to spend that much money on dampers.
