Default Zc help

Hey everyone! I have a 1989 crx si with a 3rg gen zc swap in it and I'm in need of the engine wiring harness but can't find what one I need. Someone told me one for a d16a6 will work but not sure. Any help will be extremely appriciated, thanks.

visit thezcr.com, there is tons of info there regarding this setup you have. as for my opinion on this matter, yes the d16a6 engine harness will work. make sure you get one for an 89 crx si. its virtually plug and play. you will either need to re-pin your dizzy side of the harness or buy an adapter harness as the zc dizzy does not house the CPS sensor because its located on the exhaust cam of the engine and the plugs are different to begin with.

Really? For the 3rd gen 'ZC' (d16a1)? or are you talking about the 4th gen ZC (black top single/twin cam).

they are relatively the exact same engine, only real difference is the mounting point on the drivers side, and the fact that 1 transmission bolt will not line up properly. other than those two small issues, thezcr will still be very resourceful to him. i had a d16a1 in my hatch, just had it mounted up and sitting in there, could never get it to fire, come to find out that there is no compression so i recently just yanked the motor and tossed in a d15b2 which fired up first crank lol.

correct. they will probably need to be lengthened by like 6 inches or so. if your repining the dizzy then thats cool. if you wish to make it as easy as possible, buy the adapter harness i spoke of. rywire offers it for like 50 bucks, or just check ebay.
