Ok so I bought this B16a2 DX hatch about a week ago, its been running great I washed the engine second day I had it and still ran great till yesterday.. I got in the car star t it up and went to grab a bit was parked for about 2 hours and when I came out it was raining I get in the car and all is well till I get to the first red light and put the car in Neutral, as I did this the RPM's went to almost 0 the light turned green put the car in gear and it just Sputtered all the way from then on. I have a B16a2 with 1998 harness and running a CTR ecu in it. I tried swapping ECU's with chipped P28 and Stock p28 and still does it.. Also checked all plugs and wires all seem well, Car is missfiring aloto and running like Sh*t I have NO CEL's and I have no clue what it could be..Could it be the Dizzy I just bought one so if this could be it lmk so I can put it on or if anyone has came across this please help this is annoying...

you probably got water in dizzy or plugs or something. if you got a air gun try drying them off.

 

Sounds like water in the dizzy. Check it and are there any codes?

 

I took dizzy cap off and everything seems dry inthere... No codes whatsoever that's why I'm running around trying to see what it could possibly be...

 

TAKE A LIGHT SAND PAPER AND SAND THE TERMINALS IN THE CAP, WIPE ALL THE DUST OUT OF IT. JUST A THOUGHT

See if you knocked a vacume line off when spraying your engine off... a vacume leak will cause a missfire, and will have a funny noise to it.

 

Went to Autozone, bought brand new OEM replacement plugs and started the car and went away car runs like a champ again after 12.99 for each Plug..Thanks for the help guys

 

12.99?! theyre like 2.50 here. does your check engine light work? sounds like you should have thrown a code there. maybe the p/o pulled it out

 

yeah 12.99 is way expensive lol
