engine Swap HELPP bolt stopping me from lifting engine
so my friends engine blew and he asked if i could help him out and put a working single cam in.. i hooked up the engine to the cherry picker but some bolt WONT LET ME pull it upp when i puch the engine the opposite way so it not on the way the transmission hits the frame and there still isnt room for the bolt to go up without hitting the framee. If you don get what im trying to say i put a picture to help. anyone had this problem befor? the pic is from bottom of car
Edit: sryy bout the pic being upsidedown

I drop these engines out the bottom. But... the "bolt" that is giving you problems is attached to the a/c bracket. You need to pull the compressor and bracket in order to clear
that bolt can be removed, at least on mine it does. Right at the bracket the bolt isnt round so a wrench can grab it and loosen it.
But yeah i would have already taken the compressor off and left the lines attatched and just pulled it out of the way so u dont have to worry about recharging ur AC if its hooked up that is

Use a 14mm deep socket or box end wrench. Remove that stud. Also...why is the A/C compressor still attached? The more stuff you remove off the engine, the easier it is to pull. I remove the header, all brackets, and the A/C compressor (because I like having A/C and there's no need to pull off the lines to remove the motor).
