I was mostly commenting that you give no information about the Accord itself...

Year (90-02)
Trim (DX, LX, EX, SE, VP, etc)
Engine (I4 or V6)
Bodystyle (Coupe, Sedan, Wagon)
Mileage
Condition

Or even what the actual gas mileage was or how you were calculating it.

The transmission type would also help.

And I think that the gas mileage is great on my Accord, I average about 28 mpg, low 30s on the interstate.

'99 LX, I4, 5-speed, ~ 115K miles, good condition. Beige color.

it's not what you drive but how you drive it
i've gotten as high as 38 interstate nonstop and 29-all city
as bad as 22-using freeways 17city

i cant remember the last time i broke 30mpg, i average 26--mostly taking the farm roads

the car is funny sometimes, if its windy outside its not worth trying to go faster, i can give up and cruise along at 62 with barely any throttle, sometimes it seems it will go 76+ with a little throttle and little effort
sometimes it seems that you gotta be going above or below a certain speed and the car will hold it forever with barely touching the gas

mines a 2000 4cyl auto with cold-air and magnaflow cat direct precise replacement, makes a noticeable difference too

Interesting 361 accord... what 2000cc engine are you running?

I am running the F20B2 which is basically just a SOHC non-vtec... similar to the F22B2 but higher compression and about the same power output...
Automatic trans..

I used to get about 20mpg combined.. My sister would average about 22 or 23 maybe, but nowadays I dont get to drive the accordian often, so when I do I absolutely thrash it.. Usually resulting in about 16mpg (mostly backroads though)...
Current mods would be AEM SRI, DC 4-2-1, APEXi WS2..

One day i'll try driving it calmly and see what I end up with...

damn, such a letdown.. I thought I had some 2L company hahahhaha... I guess in my eagerness I missed the obvious point about it being a year 2000... Oh welll....

Next step is my Bisimoto level 1.5 cam, so fuel economy may suffer even more.. Hopefully the tuning will allow me to lean it out a bit though, cause i suspect i run a bit rich at the moment..

i actually had the chance to do a bluetop euro-R complete swap, tranny, shafts, hubs, brakes, basically the whole front fo free, maybe lots o beer nd cash on side,
but i couldnt go upstate to hang out at my firends and do the work, plus im pretty damn sure my mom wouldnt let me swap a perfectly good motor, to a smaller one thats imported and makes more power, and tuned! and change the car to stick too,

didnt even bother to ask if i could
