Idea -

Buy lowering springs and shocks for a 94-97 Accord and lower car. If you really don't give a damn, just cut your springs.

Provided you are referencing stock ride quality you can't.

When you lower a vehicle you decrease the suspension travel. When you do that the correct way you have to increase the spring rate to compensate for the less suspension travel. I'm sure you will retort "Yo man, you retarded, my friends Civic riding on dropzones is slammed and is smooth like stock" since that's usually what happens. The answer is sure, it may be "stock" while slammed on shitting suspension because they don't change the spring rate, that is, until you hit a pebble, dip, bump, rock, etc and you beat the living **** out of your suspension components.

Save your money, do the research, buy quality parts meant for the weight of the Accord. Also keep in mind you have 16 year old shocks and bushings at this point and lowering the vehicle will kill them with the quickness so I would not recommend a lowering spring alone.

no problem dude...i will also add once again that you should learn how to search since this is the 3rd "will a civic suspension fit my accord" thread in the past 2 weeks

also if you wanted to find springs that will lower your car that much, why cant you look for yourself...its not like we are the only people in the world that know of suspentions that will drop your car that much..if you would have taken the time to look for springs yourself, you could prob have found your answer already

You know, I also noticed you asked what swap you could do from a Civic to get 40+ mpg out of the Accord. Maybe you should have just bought a Civic?

Right on! Sadly, there seems to be too many people on Honda (and some other) forums with this kind of juvenile, snarky attitude. I wish some of these guys would just grow up. They don't even know what they don't know. If Japanese car forums didn't have such a reputation for attracting smart ***** like this who are eager to jump all over a noobie, maybe they'd attract more regular posters.

Why not just use things made for the Accord? Honestly, is it really that had to understand that companies make parts for specific cars because they are different?

Lower your Accord with parts directed at the Accord. Yes, I know there are very few cases where parts are interchangeable but come on, use the Search button.

the regulars get annoyed because people pose the same questions all the time and they don't search.

to further answer the op's question (and muffin man did a good job of it). do not put a civic suspension in your accord. the reason being, the accord is heavier and the suspension setup is not the same, including mount points and travel length. that being said, a civic spring will not have the proper spring rate and will likely blow struts like crazy. if you want a 1.5 inch drop and a ride CLOSE to stock, look for tien h-techs. they are a progressive spring rate so they will be slightly more forgiving than a coilover. but as muffin man said, by dropping the car, you lose some suspension travel so regardless of spring choice it will not be just like stock. i would also recommend replacing your struts so your car does not bounce.

ps. to avoid flamage, use the search tool, it will help a lot. there is a lot of useful information here but you have to know how to access it.

edit: when looking for h-techs get the ones made FOR THE ACCORD

hmm since the OP doesnt know how to search ill bring up this thread that was only posted 5 days ago

well maybe there would be less juvenile and snarky attitude people if people used the seach button and used common sense....hmmm i wonder if springs made for a 2700 pound compact car will fit on my 3300 pound mid sized sedan/wagon...if you noticed we dont attack prople who have REAL questions that arnt asked weekly
