Default Weird welding pop thingy...

Haha bad title. X)

But anyways im 17 and shaving my first bay. While I was stitch/spot welding the seams just in front of the shock tower (pretty steep) I was putting down weld and when i had a puddle of weld it like popped (heard it and saw it). When it popped it like rolled down (still molten it looked like) the seam to the battery tray area. And I was super confused cause that had never happened. So I was just wondering what may have caused this to happen.. And I dont know too much because im learning to weld on my bay haha. Also i ran my thumb over the piece of weld that had popped when it cooled and it wasnt stuck to the bay at all. it just rolled off.

The welder is a lincoln MIG wire feed 140. With some mixture of O and Ar. I think.

Also I noticed while doing these welds they were alot more sloppy, and liked to spit stuff around the weld... I was confused cause this has never happened. The gas was on too. so Idk...

Thanks for your help! Please take it easy on a noob aspiring to be a fabricator someday!

there is glue and **** inbetween the layers of material comprising the frame and body of the vehicle. this is most likely what you hit.
