Default Intermittent starting problem!

On my 96 Si "Sometimes" when I stall out for stepping off the clutch too early or just turning the car off and trying to start it real quick, I get no juice to the fuel pump, I have to turn the key off than on a couple of times and than I can hear the Fuel pump run!! I've checked the relay and fuse for the fuel pump and they both seem fine, Is this a problem with the computer?

I've also heard that there is a crash sensor that cuts off power to the fuel pump in case of a crash and that could be the problem since this car was in an accident and needed airbags when i bought it. If yes can anyone tell me where this sensor is?

any help appreciated and thanks in advance,

does the car get power when this happens? if so, will it crank? if so, i don't see the problem. if not, then you could have a few issues with it...

any aftermarket parts on the car? i've seen where someone(me) didn't insulate a hot wire enough, and it was grounding to the car. most of the time the car would not start, sometimes it would...just depended on the contact. you could have a bad fuel pump, bad ground, bad alternator that is charging intermittently(unless it always starts the next day, then I would rule this out), computer

i would start with any wiring that isn't stock on the car.

thanks for the reply, after turning the key to off and on a couple of times and hearing the FP run I can crank it and the car will start right up as if there was no problem...

will check my wires though that sounds like it could be it,

cheers

Bad ignition switch? When you turn the key and the fuel pump doesn't come on, do other accessories stay off as well?

Its ur main relay. It needs to be replaced, its underneathe ur dash. When its going bad it wont tell ur fuel pull to turn on. Its only like 30 bucks or something like that.
