Default Needing wheel advice/input.

I've been scouring the web for over a month now and need some input from people who know more about this and have had more experience than I have.
I'm looking at getting new rims for my EG to replace my 17's, but I want something with a good lip/deep offset, my problem is I also want to get something functional and not have to run extreme camber. I've been looking at RPF1's because of the lightweight and look, Konig Wideopens because they pretty much look like RPF1's but with a fatter polished lip and several other wheels.
I've searched the forums and there are posts of offset and wheel spec's, but there's barely a mention of functionality in daily driving terms. I don't want crazy stretched tires or have to run lots of negative camber just to keep from scrubbing, but I want a decent lip for the aesthetics.
IDEALLY I would have an RPF1 in the SBC coating with a good lip in a 15 inch size, maybe a 15x8.

what do you mean functionallity?

Its a wheel.. so its round... soooo
it will work..

Performance wise on a relitivley stock civic you not going to gain a whole lot from a wheel..

Weight is the only thing YOU should look at form a PERFORMACE stand point..

Sorry, but your goals seem a bit aspirational (low offset, maintain drivability, keep camber low). Without going with too much camber or rolling your fenders, you're looking at a 15x7 +35 tops for wheel fitment to maintain drivability. You could go up to a 15x7.5 +35, but you'll need around 1 degree of negative camber or rolled fenders. Since you have a '93 VX (which is an EH2, not an EG), I'd say you're looking at a 195/50/15 for tire size.

rpf1 is a great choice. very light, good looking wheel. put some sticky tires on it and youre set. dont waste time with trying to get some wider wheel and then having to compromise with tires. not worth it.

Frost - By functionality I mean during daily driving, it may be round and "function" as a wheel but if I can't make a U-turn without scrubbing off half my tire its not very functional. Also if I have to run 5 degrees or more of negative camber to fit the wheel under the fender and only have half an inch of rubber as a contact patch it still isn't functional. True I am looking for weight savings but the Britelites I have on there now are lightweight for the size.
Matt - It may sound too aspirational, but I'm just looking for a good compromise between width, lip, offset, camber, tire stretch, etc. Would I love a lip like Arnel's Phaze2 Hatch, yes, do I want my wheels cambered THAT much to achieve it? No. I've already flared my front fenders and rolled by backs. I'm just looking for advice on what other people have had experience running so I can find a happy medium. BTW I know its not an EG (I can dream), but 99% of people know what you're talking about when you say EG, whereas if I said EH2 only a handful of people would know what I'm saying. Also, I use it just as most if not all automotive media out there classify the Dodge Neon SRT/4 or Chevy Cobalt SS as an "import". It fits better in that category than saying "American-made compact car that is in the same size/weight/engine displacement/drivetrain/style as a _insert foreign car__". Its just getting technical. Not trying to be a douche, but you came off a little condescending, so I had to clarify.

With that said, I know I'll have to make certain compromises. The wheel may not weigh 9.5lbs, or it may only only have a 1.5" lip; but that's fine, I'm just looking for middle ground between them all and there is one. I just have no idea what it is, I'm trying to learn what will/won't work without having to buy 15 different wheels in different offsets to see what will fit the way I want.

Considering you've already gone through the process of making more clearance, I would say that a 15x8 +35 would fit, with a safe tire size. That would give you a fair amount of lip for the look, without compromising your cars safety and comfort. A 949 Racing 6UL 15x8 would fit without problems.
