Default d15b2 exhaust manifold

Hey guys i need your opinion on an exhaust manifold for my civic.
Im rebuilding my d15b2 this spring and im just collecting parts for it right now and since im going to have it out of the car i figured that i should just do everything right away.
Now i heard that the ebay header has some fitment issues but i cant seem to find any other header besides bisimoto's V2 but i plan on keeping the A/C.
Any help on brands or places to find one would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

really?! are you searching for just the B2 fitment? any D-series manifold/header should bolt up (though some will have different "exit length" where they bolt to the cat converter or mid pipe. cheap fix at most muffler shops ) 99-00 EX civic tubular manifold is a good upgrade for a stock-internals D15/D16. OE quality so the fit and durability are great and they are all used so the price is very low too.

bnib pistons?

k i've found a manifold after looking at a couple of sites but now i cant find a actual exhaust system meant for the sedan.

now ive heard the the hatch exhaust works just fine and bolts up but its just like 6 or 8 inches short at the rear of the car.

anybody know of any exhausts that are made for the sedan i would like to get something like a apexi WS2, something quite and low key.

This is correct.

OP, outside of keeping A/C what are you wanting out of a header? What's your budget? What will the motor look like when done?

Those things are what you need to ask yourself (and post) to help figure out what will work best for you.

Well im going to paint the block, head and tranny silver but im keeping everything as stock looking as i can but with a few minor add ons like header and MPFI swap.

i already ordered my exhaust manifold now i just need to find a actual exhaust for a decent price, probably around $500-$600 dollar range.

any suggestions?

Buy a good muffler, and have a muffler shop bend and mount some 2.25"-2.5" pipe from the header/cat back. thats been the best best for me, and a lot cheaper than $600.

I have a Tanabe Medallion exhaust on my integra and I LOVE it. Not sure if they sell just the muffler or if you have to get the whole cat back. Other than that just do some research and some youtubing and see what you like.

I've been looking for quite some time and cant really find anything for the sedan, only for the hatch.
Now like i said before, i'm pretty sure the hatch exhaust will mount up but just a little short.
Can anybody confirm this for sure?
Because if that's the case ill just do that and take it to a muffle shop and extend the pipe for the tip.

Hatchback exhausts wont fit. I am pretty sure it will have to be lengthened. the best bet would be to have them bend up some pipe for it. that way you know it fits properly.

How much for the engine block? Ill purchase it if you are willing to ship to Alaska? My current B2 has massive blow by and they put a d16y7 head on it without going through the bottom end. Sorry if this is a super old thread I am new to this whole forum thing.

I will be amazed if they still have it for sale. The last post on this thread was in 2011.
