Default Silicone or White Lithium for Del Sol?

Which is better to lube the Targa top on a Del Sol? I've read about a lot of people using White Lithium because it stays on longer, but I've also heard that White Lithium is a fossil fuel derivative and may damage the rubber. I am too far from a Honda service center to get honda brand lube...

Thanks

i used die electric grease that you would put on your plugs. the guy at honda told me it was the same as shin etsu grease and said they use it when they run out. worked great and cost 99 cents at autozone

There is a product called "Gummi Pflege Stift" by a company called Einszett. It's german for "Rubber care stick".

It's fantastic. ...comes in a shoe polish applicator to put on the rubber easily.

It worked really well on the rubber seals on my del sol. The rubber feels much more supple now.
