Passenger rear hub assembly question...
I'm replacing both rear hubs on my 93 Prelude and I have run across an issue. The driver rear hub slides right on no problem. The passenger side stops about half way onto the spine because of a 'lip', which is pointed to w/ the red arrow.

I took a picture of both the new and old hub next to each other and noticed the old hub had the ball bearings exposed, allowing it to slide onto the spine. Will I need to do this to the new hub and how should I go about removing that little cover exposing the bearings? Is it even recommended, as this particular side wheel bearing is the reason why I'm changing these.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Your suggestion gave me an idea and I took out my Dremel cutting wheel and cut a slit into the collar.

Put a flat head screwdriver into the cut and hit it a few times with a hammer to get it at least free enough to spin on the shaft. Then one hit with the flat head screwdriver between the collar and matting service... done!

Fits right where it was supposed to come out in on the old assembly. Trash now. Thanks again!
