Any tips for storing tires?
I bought a set of snow tires and since I'll only use them for about
4-5 months every year, I'll have them in storeage the rest of the
time. I plan to keep them on rims.
What should I do to them, if anything, before putting them away?
Is there anything I can do to prevent cracking and dry rot?
Should I leave them inflated? If so how much?
Any other tips?
Thanks guys!

one thing that i didn't see them mention is don't put the tires on direct concrete. put them on a piece of cardboard or carpet. the concrete will cause flat spots if left on concrete to long
Don't store a vehicle with weight on its tires for extended periods of time. Long-term inactivity is more harmful to tires than weekly drives that flex the tires and help maintain oil dispersion within the rubber compounds.
He's not talking about keeping them on the car while he stores them, just the tires themselves. Since there is no added pressure from the car, all you need to do is clean them and put some cardboard or carpet under the tires so they're not in direct contact with the concrete and you will be just fine. Wouldn't hurt to rotate them every once in a while though.
