How do you know if ur brake rotors are warped ?
i read the post about the brake rotors being covered by warrenty. was wondering how do you diagnose this ? like how do you know when ur rotors are warped ? i want to find out before my warrenty runs out
If your steering wheel vibrates under braking, chances are your rotors are warped.
And I dont think a warranty would cover it, unless they were prematurely warped...like if you had them replaced at 25k, and at 29k they started vibrating again. Its a wear item, so it would have to be proven defective.

like at what speed .. they start shaking if say i brake from ... 100+ down ? thats not rotor warp is it .. my car 20k miles
Your rotors can warp at anytime, does your steering wheel shake when you step on the brake? Just get some performance rotors...
when my rotors were warped when i stepped on the brake there was a vibration on both the brake pedal and the steering wheel... on the pedal it would kinda be like an up/down motion as I stepped on/applied steady pressure to the brake pedal...
on the steering wheel its a quick left/right/left/right (cycle continues) motion of the steering wheel as the brakes are applied...
I changed my pads and rotors are the same time.. got Brembo OE Blanks and Hawp HPs.. got it all from http://www.collettimotorsports.com (click on specials) $28/rotor + $10/rotor shipping for the fronts... rears are $20/rotor $10/ea ship.. front pads are like $80 and rears are like $50 or 60.. I forget..
EDIT: oh yeah if you need instructions/the procedure.. check this link out..

i was wondering the same thing, but in my case, the vibrations only comes in when im braking driving downhill. but other than that, when im braking on a level road its fine. So is this my rotors that are warped or is it my ABS kicking in?

as most of you may know, but ill say it anyways, you can warp your rotors in a heart beat by the lug nuts not being torqued properly, always use a torque wrench, and tighten them down to 80 ft/lbs .......
