just wondering how many of u guys have had your S2000 broken into/stolen.

im looking to buy either S2000 or a mazda speedmiata or NC. one of the big factor is the unwanted attention from thieves and ricer boys. just trying to get a feel of how many S2000 are getting messed with.

 

Dont leave your wallet on the passenger seat...

 

Civic/Integra owners love those seats...especially the red

 

I had a 2001 seberingsilver s2k.

Went to sleep on night woke up top sliced, dash all broken and **** **** and ecu gone.

called police, insurance, filed report had car fixed.

2 weeks later. wake up car gone.

car recoverd 2 days later.

missing parts

seats, cluster, steering wheel, wheels, head and tail lights, my misc spoon caps, **** cd player. and they re sliced the top after it took me 10 hours to install it..

but thank god for full and aftermarket part coverage.

just goes to show if they want it. its gone.

 

Bullshit if you don't let your guard down it won't get stolen, if your car is stolen, its cause u didn't do enough to protect it.

Im gonna have to call bullshit on that. I know people who have had video camras, alarms on the garage and low jack on the car and the cars stolen; never to be seen. If they want your car they will have your car. letting your guard down? one man was shot a few months ago for his integra. I had a friend who was almost killed for his integra. If they would kill for a 6,000 dollar car I think they will for a car worth four times the money. Last month... one friends car was stole. two broken into and one was attempted. This is with in 30 days.

Who do guys have insurance with? I have USAA but never had any problems with my S2k.

 

i lived in a gated neighbor hood and still got taken.

had an alarm and agood one but it still got taken.

at the end of th day if they want it its gone

 

me too they are chill with me. pretty much no questions asked when **** goes down.

victim right here and i recently saw some shady guy park a car blocks away and walking around by my car in the driveway, He thinks i didnt see him but was waiting for him to act. Its sad that people cant work and really think their live is worth a measly few bucks.

 

I had my AP1 for 2+ years without a single incident. I've had my AP2 for 2 months or so; thus far, nothing to report

 

5 years no issues. Garage kept and very picky on parking sports/places/times (ie not at the airport or movie theatre at night).

 

On my 4th S2k.. The previous 3 were all victims of theft in one way or another. As of recently I've become nocturnal and perhaps the living room lights being on deters thieves.

And yes.. your insurance can factor these comp. claims against you.

 

you can use a gun when you are sleeping? Last year a man was towing his civic and was shot 8 times in the chest. When someone is pointing a gun at you. I dont think they will give you time to take your gun out if you have one...

 

Lol k guys keep buying 10k dollars and keep letting them get stolen

If you have cameras, alarmed garages, and lowjack, and your car is still stolen, you should give up on life and also kick the *** of the person that installed the lowjack

 

^you know there are people who know how to get around those, right?

 

With all three of those security measures used properly, you'd need professional, and usually those guys are stealing porsches, etc
