shifter extender buzzing noises on a short shifter
i have a shifter extender to a short shifter and it makes a damn loud buzzing or buzz saw noise for lack of word at 3.5-4k+ rpm on my gsr
if i try to dampen it w/ a washer between the extender and the shifter it dampens but still buzzes loud and it looks really ugly

how do i get rid of this =\

I would just try more. It's cheap and you don't have to worry about it messing anything up. I needed some on my buzzing short shifter.

A buzzing sound means a hard surface is vibrating against another hard surface. Assuming the shift extender is properly tightened down, this is almost certainly NOT the problem.
I'd be willing to bet the problem is the plastic finishing ring at the top of the shifter boot vibrating against the shifter itself. Happens on mine all the time if the boot isn't pushed all the way up against the shift ****.

my shift boot plastic ring vibrates but rarely often. can be remedied by just moving it a bit
the main buzzing is from where the end of the extender meets the shifter
even if tightened all the way will still buzz slightly, if i pinch the end points with my fingers the buzzing stops but the vibrations are so strong feels like my finger flesh are turning into waves lOL

damn sounds like the shifter extender female threads weren't machined/tapped exactly right to match the shifter's threads or something.
