Default ZC to Vtec Swap questions

got a 89 CRX Si w/ ZC swap. from the numbers I pull and from a website I read the head on the ZC is the main difference between a ZC block and a normal D16(a6?) Si block. Ive read some swaps and people are throwing y8 or z6 heads, which the only difference I can see is maybe a gain from 118-120 hp(zc) to 125-127hp(vtec) so about 5-9 hp gain.

is it worth it?
is the ZC block different too so theyre will be other benefits?
any way to add vtec to the ZC cam?

im basically just looking for a little more, not a whole lot, or else i would just drop a DOHC Vtec in it and call it good, so maybe theres another way I can add more? already got Short Ram, larger exhaust, and soon to have a header pipe.
