should you .....or can you add some clear coat to satin black??

Well, if done right, Satin black actually has a clear coat sprayed on it. It's just that it's a low gloss clear

there is one stage matte paint or there is case coat, clear coat but the clear would have a flattening agent.

Yes you can. Use a satin clear. I know BASF RM Diamont has system codes for flat, satin, semi-gloss clears.

summit racing hot rod black, single stage satin appearance- 3 -4 years old still lookin good. mind u i dont ever wash my car
