Don't waste the money on a Beaks bar. Put it towards an ASR or F7 brace. There are fake ASR braces, so watch out. It's easy to tell on those though. They look poorly made.

Sorry to say its true. I did find this while looking for that same anser, in case you do deside to go with the ASR's heres a link i found comparing the real and fake.

http://stickydiljoe.com/2010/03/30/s...bframe-braces/

If i find one for the beaks* ill post it. P.s i would go with the function 7 set up. Its up there in price but it look sick and stiffens up youre ride dramaticly. I had a set and they were great.

+1. Beaks bar just serves as a chunk of metal that will get caught on stuff. ASR/F7 + swaybar= great upgrade

Why does it matter? There's no real performance gain to it.

I beg to differ my cookie loving friend. It really dose help in the corners, a **** load in fact. I had a 90 crx si wich i almost daily took through some winding back roads. My top speed through the corners was about 45 to 50 mph. The i installed both strut bars and a tie bar and my top speed shot up too almost 60 mph. About 58 mph to be exact. Along with a short shifter it was a beautiful thing.

Tires, swaybars, shocks, springs, bushings all help far more than a tie bar and strut tower bars. Bars should be the last thing anyone does, especially on the street.

The replicas are made by Tegiwa in the UK for the UK market. So... it would be cheaper that way than to import Beaks bars.

Well it was an SI crx so it already had sway bars stock. As for tires i had 195/50/r15 nitto nt450 extreme performance on stock integra bbs wheels. The shocks were stock but the the springs were skunck2 coil overs lowered 2 1/4 inches. The rear bushings were energy poly on stock control arms. Both strut bars were neuspeed and the tei bar was magen racing. Wich made a big diff. Even on normal driving. Trust me its worth it and it works

Im not triying to nock on the beaks bars but to tell you the truth, they look great but there like an over drive pulley. More trouble than there worth. In my opinion the ASR ones work better. Actually like ive said many a time, the function7 components work beautiful and look amazing

Heres a look at a set : http://i35.tinypic.com/2ql5ngx.jpg

Heres a link with prices and where u can buy ( just in case)

Blackworks subframe brace is actually well made aswell. Not much of a price diffrence between an ASR and blackwroks though.

the nt450 isnt a summer tire. its an all season tire. if you use sticky summer tires, get some decent shocks like koni yellow, possibly raise it up a bit, use stiffer rates, the handling should improve. all im saying is that a beaks bar is at the bottom of the list in terms of actual benefit.

If "silver" is a little too blingy or you, our braces/arms are also available powdercoated in matte black, and gold (through JHPUSA)... and we're looking at possibly introducing other colors.

P.S. someone gave us a heads up about Tegiwa Imports in the UK some months ago. Looks like Beak's is not the only thing they want to copy.

They're working on copies of your LCAs.

The braces seem to be the first thing most people get because they're cheap and easier to install than shocks and bushings. For the 16-18 year old kid with little to no mechanical ability, it's no surprise.

The Blackworks brace looks like a cross between the ASR and F7. Looks fine, I'm glad another company has come out with another alternative. Competition is good. It keeps prices down and offers an incentive for innovation.

The comment about the turbo...I disagree. Suspension and breaks should be the first upgrade, go fast parts should come after. A stock Civic wasn't meant to go that fast or have to handle as well as it should if you're going that fast. For safety's sake, at least making sure the breaks are working well (bled and have good quality pads) and the suspension is solid (no worn out bushings or joints causing excessive play) would be a good idea. Nobody needs a ball joint popping at 120mph or loose steering throwing them in a ditch.

Aren't most parts like these patented or protected by some sort of protection? I know China doesn't care, and you can't do anything about them selling copies of stuff over seas. But how can a company sell a copy of a protected item in the US? F7, Blackworks, ASR, Skunk2, Koni, Walbro, etc all did their own R&D, having someone steal their designs and ruin their reputations and mislead consumers with inferior copies isn't cool.
