For those of you who want to put Recaro seats on your car and hate to pay the extra $200 for the brackets and sliders...This is what I did...Bought a 2 inch bar from local hardware store and had it cut and bolted across each seat. Measured stock rail position and screwed it on the bars. Put washers on outer side to level the seats. Here are the pics.

No, because if you look at the bottom of a stock Hatch seat, it has a metal bubble that's exactly the same height provided by the 2 inch washers on each side and the additional inch and a half to level. Recaro seats sit a bit low to begin with so if ever it is an inch or two higher (even if its not) it sits pretty good.
what were the mounting points like on the recaro's, my sparco seat lined up really close to the stock holes and made the mounting really difficult because they were so close....
good job getting everything lined up and fitting right.
the only concern i have is those washers. i would look for a more permanent solution. maybe have a machine shop fab up some steel spacers to go in place of the washers? and i would have a little thicker piece of metal. like 1/8"-1/4" steel at least. seat mounting is very important in a crash.
just my measely $0.02.
