anyone with a 96 - 2000 civic with Hella HID dual beam or any brand HID with dual beam. how did you get the burner in? can someone post pics of the headlight with the HID turend OFF? i want to see if i have to take that little shield out. also a hi/lo pic of the HID would be nice.

 

the shield is there for a reason, don't take it off.

 

which shield are you talking about? if its the one that is on one side of the bulb dont remove it, you will just be blinding people more and more.. but if you bought a kit for a civic, and its an H4 retrofit kit, you shouldnt have any problems whatsoever.. ive installed like 6 HID kits on civic's before.. actually only 1 car has given me a problem, and that was a 95 talon, because the 9006 bulbs dont twist..they get held in with a pin like H4 bulbs..and the pin wouldnt clear the ignitor.. but ive never had that problem with a civic..

 

but what HID kit on the 96-00 civics had the best beam pattern?

 

the kit doesnt make the beam patter, the optics do.. and civic headlights have shitty optics, not to mention HID on halogen non projector housings is just blinding.. and no more high beam.. so its pretty gay actually..
