I know its relatively easy to do the ex, because its got vtec wiring, but what about the hx model? whats different about this swap?

If I'm not mistaken, the HX is VTEC-E...so they should be no different when swapping in a B-series...

this is the exact swap i am donig right know. you will need to add the secondaries, knock and the sensor, i think the tps, that is on top of the gsr manifold. the problem i am running into right now is the throttle cable for the hx is different from the ex so i need to build a bracket for it.

does anyone know about this?

Not sure but I think with either, a new throttle cable is needed(gsr routes around opposite direction...not really long enough, get mounting brackets from any teg). tps is on the side of throttle body

i have the mounting bracke and the cable is long enough but were the threds are on the lincage, right were the throttle cable conects to the throttle body, the lincage isnst in a place so i can take out all the slack of the cable. did that make sence?

hey kuelerz, you live pretty close to me. How far are you into the swap? Im guessing you are just finishing up. So ill need wires for

1.secondary for gsr manifold
2.knock sensor, the hx doesnt have a knock sensor?
3. what does the tps do again?

Ive heard something about the emission system being different on the hx and people encounter problem with the secondary Oxygen sensor??

so what are my options? OBDI conversion? sorry for being so damn confused.

i have the skunk2 conversion harness and put it back to an obd II since it was a jdm motor. as for *** the wires go my frien is coming over today or tomarow to wires the knock, secondaries and the sensor on the top of the manifold. you dont have to worry about the second o2 sensor if you convert to obd I since there is only one on the system. the vtec wire is already there you just need to move it from the back of the valve cover to the front.

the problem i am running into right know is finding a line for my power steering pump. i need the gsr line and then i will have to take out my civic line and merge the two. that will suck big harry @ss cheeks.

if you want to talk let me know, you can email me during the day at btole@cordevalle.com. i run with a car club out here named Elusive, they have been around since 95 so they know alot of $hit about swaps.
