Hi Guys,
This is Jignesh here from Mumbai,India. I need the help of you experts out there to help me identify what gearbox I have in my car.
I recently purchased a used Honda Civic EG8 92~95 model and swapped the original engine with a B18C5 motor. Last week I decided to install a LSD as i realised the car was not equipped with one. These cars & motors are very rare in India as they were never sold here, anyways I ordered a OBX LSD for a B18C5 motor assuming thats the gearbox I have.
When it arrived and i tried to install it the mechanic toldme that it would not fit. I am not too technical a guy but he said something on the lines of the crown wheel/final drive would not fit around the LSD and that the LSD is bigger in diameter by approx an inch or so.
My problem is that gearbox has no kind of marking on it to help me identify what type it is. Its kinda obvious the earlier owner has most probably exchanged the gearbox as he also has a couple of B series motors with him.
I need a LSD desperately and the seller has agreed to exchange the previously ordered unit for a new one provided I can correctly specify what I need.
Please help.

Does the ring gear/diff have 10 bolts or 14 bolts?
If it has 14 you will need to change out the final drive in order to use the new LSD.
If it has 10 then you likely need to exchange the LSD for a B16A/LS LSD. Pictures will help though.

Get pics of the diff/FD once you get the trans open again. You will likely just need to pickup a B18C FD and ring gear bolts in order to use the OBX LSD.
