95 eg d15 car was recently rebuilt battery is new but car is really hard to start u turn the key over it just clicks once and repeat a random number of times and it will start start cranks fine when it starts doesnt drag or nothing any ideas or help would be appreciated

I would have your starter tested

 

Well it'd be a good idea to check all connections first. It sounds like some sort of connectivity issue, or a starter as long as the battery is good.
