hey guys im in need of help.my co-worker has a 97 accord lx for sale for 300 but he thinks it needs a trans. i plan to go look at it this sat He says it wont go into 3,4,5 gear and the trans is leaking since he is selling it at a good price im going to still goin to buy it.wat i would like help on is how do i tell if is has bad How do i tell if a sync.i live in upsate ny and we have hell of snow right now amd im tired to walking or take the bus so if i could hold off on changing the trans now that would be great plz let me knw wat you guys thing.

 

new info shifts fine in 1st and 2nd goes in 3rd 4th 5th while car is off but when i try while driving it just grinds and it i start the car in 3,4,5 it will jus pop out.
