Got sick and tired of the chrome bar on the trunk on my 09. Seeing as how its also the first year of ROP I cant just buy a painted one to match. So as I was bored today, I debadged it and painted the H emblems as well as the rear chrome bar on the trunk lid today. I used a metal cast gunmetal and a little bit of clear. I think it came out alright. I am eventually going to have it painted ROP. What do you guys think?

 

what about ur muffler tip just kidding it looks pretty cool in black

 

The more I look at it the sooner I want to get it painted to match the rest of the car. lol

 

I would like it more on a black or white car, it does look kind of odd on that color. Good idea though, I like where you are going with this.

 

I think it looks great... maybe Honda should look at it as well, and offer some options in that area...

 

not bad, better than chrome

 

Definitely better than the chrome. I didn't want to do black cause I thought the contrast would look funny. The gunmetal looks darker in the pics but still can't wait to get it painted ROP.
Finished debadging it today. The ivtec door stickers were a bitch but they're off now.
Next will be tint. A light tint.

 

I don't think it looks bad. Much better than chrome on the red (ROP?).

would fit better if you had a C/F spoiler/trunk/both, or painted them black. The gunmetal be a great accent to black imho

 

ROP = redline orange pearl.
Yeah would love to do a carbon trunk eventually. But funds have to go towards other goodies first. Lol

 

Now that I understand. I think it looks pretty good for now. Cool you pulled that quality off yourself. If you wanted to really pull it together- paint the spoiler that color.
