what is the power gain from ctr cams

i have a jdm 97 type r and i want to put ctr cam in it is it worth it and what would be the power gain from the cam with a tune

Negligible. Maybe 2 HP.

1 or 2 hp at the most. Not worth it at all. You would gain more by properly gapping and indexing your spark plugs.

If you want a boost in power and do not want to change out your valvetrain, TODA A2, Skunk2 Stg1, BC 3+... these will all increase power throughout the powerband and will run fine on ITR valvesprings.

As others have said - the gain from CTR cams is negligible.
