I try to air on the side of caution when shipping ECUs. However, I am wondering why everyone always makes such a big deal about protecting them during shipment. One would think that it's case is made out of rice paper or something. It is a vital part of the car. I'm sure it has been shock tested to withstand anything that the USPS would throw at it in the run of a day. Just saying!
I will also have to admit that I have shipped and received a few ECU's in those bubble wrap envelopes and have yet to incur any damages. (knocks on wood!)

OMG you guys are all pussies!
I use ECUs as JACK STANDS, these things are hard core.
Flat Rate envelope with a padded mailer around the outside of the ECU is GOLDEN every time...I think I have probably shipped like this a few hundred times with zero issues!!!
