Inside Door Panel
Has anyone ever tried to remove the inside door panel from a 94 accord? About 2 years ago someone hit me, and left a small dent, my father-in-law just pulled the dent with a heavy duty suction cup, but I need to tap the dent out permanently, so I'm wondering if anyone else has done this before. This is for the rear passenger side on a 94 accord LXE(not a typo). Also the strangest thing happened, I must have slammed the door with the seatbelt hanging in between the door and the switch that turns the light off, now the switch never goes off. Anyone have any experience removing the panels on the driver's side also?
Thanks,
Flinn

I have removed my door panel before. First you should look for all the screws on the door. There will be plastic tops to the screws, just take a flat head screwdriver and pop them open, be careful when poping it out. Most likely the will break. The screws should be on the door handle and one on the arm rest. Just remove them. On the door handle you have to mess around with it to remove the rod be hide the handle, that rod connects to the actual door. Then when you have that out just take your fingers and run them on the side of the panel and pry it open. Do it all the way around the door panel. Then you should be able to just lift it up and remove it. Make sure you disconnect all of the wires connecting to the panel. To put it back on just take your time and reverse all the steps.
Thanks, that's kinda what I thought, I saw the knobby looking things, and figured they were screw covers, but I didn't want to screw around tonight, it's too late. I'll let you know how it comes out tomorrow. I was real suprised we could pull that dent out with what is basically a pluger with a hand grip. The dealer estimated it at $550. The light thing has been pissing me off for a while now, and just figered out what happened yesterday, there is a dent on the inside metal that is supposed to make contact with the light switch. Of all places, of course it would have to be there.
