ok ok so i dont have the hop console. but i am putting in a console that will place everything in roughly the same area. my question is this.....does the climate control have enough slack to be able to move it to the din slot of an optional console?
i want to mount a double din touch screen with navigation to where the climate controls and radio currently are.
its been a while since ive messed with the climate controls in a civic, but i have had them apart and removed them. i just cant remember if their is enough slack in the cables to move them lower.

What year and model? Electronic or cable operated mode/ temp/ fresh air door? Either way, my first guess would be "no" this will not be a simple relocation. Good luck...

 

Anything can be done but I have never seen this before, your better off to get a fold out DVD screen. There's no way the climate control will go into the lower optional console without a serious fight lol.

its a 95 ex. had a/c... wont after swap goes in. the rest is stock. if i remember correctly their are cables that operate the doors and such but i can not remember. its been years since i have messed with one.

i will have an open double din spot in front of the shifter but id prefer it be up top. ill tear into it and see if its possible. ill do it on my parts car first..hehehe

i personally dont like flip out screens due to the mechanism being a weak point. i also wish to use this for my navigation module. ill see whats possable.
