I know its early in the season, but has anyone started planning or trying to setup 2011's shootouts? I know Exospeed is working on the Cali one the same day as IFO Woodburn. Any word on East Coast, or one in the middle?

 

East coast usually happens at Fall Nationals which mostly falls around the first weekend of October. No word on anything so far though

 

The East coast shootout will still be in the same place and roughly the same date as it always is , since it is piggy backed off of the Fall Nationals at Etown.

They are always a constant work in progress.

About any others , I am not sure.

im looking into things for this year. i have a date and im trying to see if we can get a answer if we can do 2 qualifiers on sat night and and the race on sun and the date is late july and just want to be sure we are not conflicting with anyone else.

 

Im REALLY interested in hearing the dates for fall nationals. I have driven down to this event for the last 2 years and found out I have a wedding in mexico to attend mid-oct for a week.

Im hoping Fall Nationals will be the 8-9th weekend!

Don't think there be much happening this year , every one talks but no one show up.
SFWD is where is at.

 

IF no one showed up for the Etown Shoot out last year then we must be talking about different events.

 

There where 8 cars this year maybe 5 .

 

I count 11 in turbo and 20 in all motor.

 

We drove all the way from Fl and dont regret it, all the cars we wanted to see were there, lot of surprises in SWFD, probably will do it again this year, so a date would be nice to plan ahead.

 

Are u coming back to sfwd??? That's the class to be in 2011

Yes I'm going back to sfwd ,I see a .50 this summer on 24.5 tire .

 

In my opinion, Outlaw should go 24.5 with 72mm. Open to air/water. Half the guys that were doing outlaw are stepping back to 24.5 anyways. These are the guys that were down to pay in entry fees and make these gambler's race happen. If everyone complained that to make the class bigger is to go 26s, and they did that 3 years ago. To make a class bigger now is to go back to a 24.5
Outlaw will become a dying breed of cars like Hot Rod if that doesnt change.

 

Its is dying , That 26 inch tire is a killer ..I think i can go a .50 on the 24.5, Its what sfwd should have came to be. and there's always more then 8 cars at the east events.

 

Drop the entry down to $500 in Outlaw like the all motor class and I bet you get a few more to show up. If you have 20+ cars then the payout will still be good and maybe more companies will participate sponsorship/bounty wise. I think it will be easier to convince guys with 9 second cars to run Outlaw if it isn't so much on the front end. SFWD had cars that could run Outlaw last year....2 classes picking from the same small group of guys?? Just a thought....

 

I agree in the $500 entry fee for Outlaw, last years turnout was horrible! I think this year is the determining year in whether or not the Outlaw class will be around in 2012!

 

Make SFWD and Outlaw 1 class and just pick the quick 16 for Outlaw. Sorry to the bottom half LOL!

 

Who still plans on running the outlaw class?
I will be running and im sure tony and miller are also but who else?

I still plan to run the Outlaw Class, thats what I built the car for.
