At the NOPI NATIONALS last week in Atlanta, GA a car fully built, entirely by us, won the NOPI dyno competitioN!

We are really happy. The customer drove there, over 2,000 miles getting 32 MPG and put down:

409 WHP @13 PSI with the IB Package 3 turbo setup!

This will be in a few upcoming magazines, and I am really happy with the results!

Anyone see the car there?

I took second in the contest Congrats. I was told by the dyno operator that the ITR that won with 409whp was from the same town in Florida they were from and was boosting 17psi.

His name is Russel of Notorius Motorsports. I don't think he is a member but I would like to give him congrats. Looks like he kept the boost low it must of been all he needed. Whats so fishy about a boost controller?

it can't boost 17 PSI, because the Hondata is set to MAX boost 16 PSI, then it cuts the ignition.

So I guess that rumor is out the window.

13 psi he made 409. he called me and told me he turned down the boost. I guess because he was worried about the lower octane?

15.9lbs he made almost 450.

I thought the guy in 2nd had an RX7?

Was that your RX7?

Also, Its not a type-R motor, its an LS/VTEC.

Trevor was also a witness to all the dyno's at each level of boost.

What compressor is it and what intercooler? all boost I assume and no n20?
over 400 hp with 13 pounds hmm.. what octane was it dyno'd on what was elevation etc..

there is a new shop here bout 6 months old.. named Notorious Motorsports... I live in northwest FL.. they went to nopi.. i ll have to check into that.. i really didnt think they had there S**T together.. mad props if they do.. if it was them..

Funny you say that. That's actually a good idea, don't know whether Jeff would be down or not. Plus you'd need to get enough people in on the groupbuy to make it worth discounting, 10+ it seems ImportBuilders having enough business w/o one though. Great idea though. $$$$$$$$$$$

 

I was in second place when I left around 3 sunday and a friend of mine that stayed told me no one else entered the class after I left. I only made 334whp so if a rx7 put down more which isn't **** for a rx7 I sure didn't get second. All my info about the Integra was from the dyno operator who drove the car on the dyno, I didn't see it first hand. Could you give us some specs on the ls/vtec?

 

Numbers are good but to me this is just a riceboy contest that no real racer would enter. Sorry, maybe I'm just too hardcore for this.

well I wouldn't care if it was the most hard core rice boy fest in rice boy history. If i'm going to get paid hundreds of dollars just for strapping my car to a dyno I would do it quick. Cash helps pay for hardcore racers cars right?

Well our last pull was over 600whp (still on gas) but I wouldn't get on the dyno for a shot at $500. Rice this

 

We dont need to put one of our cars in a dyno day comp. Id rather be at a track running some numbers. Who cares what the numbers at the dyno say, its all about the ET numbers at the end of the track. If you would like to have a competition of whos motors can make more power...im willing to set something up. Id like to do it on our engine dyno...where the real R&D work is, that a chasis dyno where there are too many variables.
