hi, im new to tuning on honda/acura's and im a little confused on how it is done... i use to have a 2005 legacy gt and tuning was done through the obd2 port.. i was always under the impression that in order to tune a honda/acura you would need to convert obd0 and obd2's to obd1.. i know hondata is installed into the ecu itself and from there you can log or tune etc.. but i was looking on a couple sites and they had .bin files that you can download and use?? i was wondering how you would get those files written onto either your obd0 or obd1 ecu without hondata?? the site im referring to is this http://www.psytronix.org/xo/modules/...wcat.php?cid=9
is this meant for somebody that has something installed or setup in their ecu that would allow them to connect their computer to it to load the map?? i know that for my legacy i would connect my laptop through the obd2 port and load the map that way... i didnt need to add anything to my ecu, or do anything to it...

ps. sorry if this has already been mentioned... i tried to google it but i couldnt find anything... i think its because im not exactly sure how to word exactly what im trying to find.. even on here when i tried doin the advance search it would just pop up with things that had nothing to do with what i was looking for... if anyone could give me a little help that would greatly be appreciated... or even point me in the right direction or even a link would be a great help... the reason im looking into this is because i currently have a 91 civic hatchback and want to swap a d16z6 into it and am trying to do as much research as i can before i do it.. but thats on a whole different subject and different thread :D thanks in advance!!
