Hey guys, I recently purchased a gsr with a b16 in it (swapped) I'm having a issue after passing 5000 rpms for a brief period of time the engine will cut power and throw a check engine light. Could anyone possibly shed some light on somethings it can be?

Pull over after you get the CEL and jump your ecu for the CEL code.

its the blue plug right? when i jumped it it blinked the abs light instead O.o

 

Yeap it's blue right under the dash on the passenger side.

What codes are you getting from your abs light?

 

i took a video of it, looks like 91 and 11 maybe?

but the car feels like it goes into a limp mode state if I put it onto anything over 5 thousand rpms. very weird. I'm wondering if I have the correct ecu in it since its now a b16, but I can't be sure its a p72 I believe?

 

Take the ecu out and see what it says on it.

Yes you need the proper ecu for that motor.

p30 is what you need.

p72 is a gsr ecu
