banging noise from the passenger side
problem: banging sound from the passenger side door area
Car: 6th gen hatch
when it happens: after the car has been sitting for a few hours only (not all of the time)
usually happens in the morning before work, after work, not after class or grocery shopping but when i am backing out of my spot and throw it into drive or i go over a bump and it only does it once till the next time. and usually happens within 25 to 50 feet from where its been parked.
(did have lambo hinges but back to stock after a month or so but banging didnt start till about 6 months later bolts are thread locked and tight)
and insight in to what it could be would be great.

i had this happen to me after i swapped in an ex front sway bar, i thought it was the sway bar that went loose on me, but after checking it, it was dead tight .. about a month or two later i was changing out my blower motor cuz it was making gurgling sounds, found out that there was sumthing loose and it was lightly banging against my ecu so i tucked it inside where all the wires were and the sound went away .. moral of the story is : check behind the ecu cover on the passenger foot well, there might be sumthing loose behind it thats banging on the ecu .. might or might not solve the problem but its worth a shot!
