Ok I have had my DB8 for a couple years. I picked it up from a guy who really wanted to hide the big issue with it. IT BURNED OIL and WOULD NEVER PASS SMOG.

Lame *** said he swapped a new engine.. Probably a crappy engine that was better than what was there prior.

He said the CAT was replaced... nope.
He said the coilovers were good and suspension would last. By the time I drove it halfway home ( 60 MIles ) it was squeaking.

In the end I had to replace the CAT twice and O2 sensor before realizing the engine was fouling the O2 sensor and CAT. It also had an LS distributor that would not provide a strong spark even if I advanced the timing.

Here is my car...

It has a carbon fiber hood that is oxidized, I can actually sand it and re-clear. ( last on my list)


What has been done..

Replaced engine with JDM B18C with about 55K on it. <-- passes smog now
Replaced header with smog legal DC headers
Replaced Distributor with a TD-81U
Replaced rear motor mount with a used but better condition one.
Removed the Coilover and spring with H&R springs and struts.( still squeal ) I am told it is because of a bushing ... not sure if that will really solve it. I need a suspension guy to help me
Replaced stock shifter with a B&M straight shifter ( I actually hate this one as I lose my cupholder) Looking for a different one at the moment..


I really want to work on it and do small projects not tear it down where I can't drive it.
